Off Road Experiences and Training at Coniston 4x4

The Coniston 4×4 fleet has an impressive range of vehicles on offer, from the iconic Land Rover Defender, to the latest in pick-up truck comfort.

We have two Land Rover Defender variants available, including a short 90 version and a longer 110. Furthermore, we are pleased to be able to offer a Mitsubishi L200 and an Isuzu D-Max, both of which are highly regarded in the 4-wheel-drive pick-up truck industry.

To complete our comprehensive line-up, we have a small fleet of Kubota RTV vehicles – small 4×4 off-roaders that offer incredible capability combined with impressive maneuverability and agility.

With our incredible range of vehicles and backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales, Coniston 4×4 is the perfect destination for your day out with a difference.

Our course begins in front of the Coniston Hotel, in our versatile driver training area. Once you are feeling comfortable with the vehicle, however, you’ll be introduced to the more challenging Zone 2.

Zone 2, known as ‘The Valley’, was designed and built by Land Rover industry leaders, aimed at pushing vehicles and drivers to their limits. Here, drivers can try wading in water, experience the camber of the steep side slopes, drive through mud and deep ruts, experience axle crossovers, as well as climbing and descending a flight of concrete steps.

We welcome guests from all over Great Britain [and beyond!], and Coniston 4×4 is easily accessible from Skipton, Leeds, Bradford, Manchester, York and Preston.

If you’re looking to visit us from further afield, then why not consider making an occasion of your trip, and book a stay at the award-winning Coniston Hotel.

Mitsubishi’s L200 sets the standards of style and specification to which other manufacturers aspire. Unlike any other pick-up, the Super Select 4WD means you can drive in 2WD or 4WD on any terrain, even tarmac – perfect for towing. Little wonder, then, that the L200 has been voted What Van? Pick-Up of the Year on fifteen separate occasions. In all, a very capable off road vehicle with immense comfort and load capabilities.

Isuzu’s incredible D-Max tackles all the same terrain that Land Rover’s finest does, but with the convenience of heated seats and air conditioning. Reaching new heights in pick-up luxury, the Isuzu D-Max Utah offers you everything you could want, and more. Featuring the same high spec as the Yukon, the Utah also boasts automatic climate control and leather upholstery with heated front seats for those cold winter days out in the field or out on site. Roof bars add even further practicality, and rear parking sensors will help maintain the bodywork’s shining glory.
